Borneo, the World's third largest island, is located between the Malaysian peninsula, Indonesia and the Philippines.


Most International Flights arrive in Kota Kinabalu from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore or Hong Kong. Visitors to Borneo who are on their way to dive at Sipadan and Mabul usually spend their first night in one of Kota Kinabalu's fine hotels and fly to Tawau early the following morning.


From the Tawau Airport, Borneo Divers transports you by road to the seaside town of Semporna where our ferry boat departs for The Mabul Resort each morning.

The flight from Kota Kinabalu to Tawau takes about 40 minutes. The ride from Tawau to Semporna takes a little under an hour. The boat ride to Mabul from Semporna takes about 45 minutes, depending on weather conditions.
